The concept of the Akashic Records originates from ancient spiritual traditions but is just now seeping into the collective consciousness. Although the records have been popular in new-age metaphysical circles, I've found that most people have never heard of them. The term "Akasha" comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "ether" or "sky," reflecting the ethereal nature of this realm.
